csi

I just saw (thanks to bittorrent ;-) the season's last episode of CSI, directed by Quentin Tarantino and it's GREAT!!!
It's the csi I've come to love over the last years, combined with the genius and brilliant dialog of QT. my vote for the best show of the year!

piraten muziek

Ook Ali Osram heeft zijn eigen versie van het Dorp van Wim Sonneveld.
dat was natuurlijk allang bekend, maar deze link heeft een flash-clipje er bij.
wat nog leuker is (voor mij althans) is dat diegene die het online heeft gezet ook mijn remix versie van het origineel ter download aanbiedt. en aangezien hij bij mij niet meer online stond i.v.m. beperkte uploadspace, link ik hem hier ook ff . klik op de titel van deze weblog entry ^^^^

New movies:

Mixing

it's done. I've integrated my mix-site into this weblog. and from now on, when I 'release' a mix, it's gonna be done from this site.

my fascination with mixing began when (around the same time) I heard 2 distinct mixes:

the first was Steinski & Double Dee - Lessons 1 (although I didn't know that title then)

the second was Grandmaster Flash - the adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the wheels of steel.

I had never heard records made from bits of other records like that before and instantly I was hooked.
So, over the years on thursday (soul show / TROS radio) and Friday (Ben Liebrand minimix), I would be sitting with headphones on taping from the radio just to have the mixes.
and more than often, I would experiment with making mixes myself. no-one but my friend Martin has heard those ;-)

Only in 2000, I worked up the courage (mainly because of the Mixfreaks mailinglist) to release a mix on the net (not the best one, but hey 'still learning')

since then, I've made a couple of mixes (see the 'offline mixes' link to the left) and some of those have even been played on national radio stations (nice ego boost ;-)

unfortunately I don't have as much time for mixing as I'd like, but whenever a mix is ready, it will be logged here!

and in the USA
is not being released in the Netherlands, due to the cost of subtitling (!?!)

the cost of subtitling. with hundreds of people on the internet making subtitles for fun.

and they wonder why the DVD business is going down...

Hey Universal! THAT is why people download tv recordings and subtitles from websites!

now, if it were a rubbish series, I could understand it, but this series is great!
if the entire series 1 is released in the usa or UK , please consider releasing it here..
